Looking forward to....

I have no earthly idea. I am lacking today, though I will admit that I am stillllll horny.

Weekend was good but I want more!

And yes, I am at work and this is totally inappropriate to be thinking right now, but I'm also pretty bored. Hmmm, want to know exactly what is going through my head right now? A little bit of lickin, and a lot of wet. Mmmm.

Sunshine in the city

We have had pretty darn nice weather lately. Especially considering it is summer, it is the DC metro area, and we have global warming to contend with. Keep up the good work Mother Nature!

All in all, the weekend turned out pretty good.

Yesterday, we got up at 3 frickin' 30. Yes, in the a.m. We took the boat down to Burke Lake and hubby fished. He didn't get many hits, so we decided to leave. I guess this would have been about 10ish. The sun hadn't even really been out yet.

From there we went a little further and put the boat in at Occuquan Regional Park.

I had my fold-up chair sitting at the front of the boat (no hard boat seats for me), had my book in hand, and off we went.

I have to get the pictures off of my camera, but it was lovely. I finally got a tan going (I'm usually close to black by this time of the summer). It was just flat out a great day.

Oh yeah, and my boys are back home from the week at their dad's. I'm glad they're back.

My shoeboxed life

No idea what that really means in relation to my life. I don't live in a shoebox. Do you?


Look at this picture of our lazy kitten. She just stretches out wherever and whenever she wants. She could be following you one minute and the next, plop. Down she goes. Goofy.

So let's go back to that shoebox thing? What does that really mean? Does it mean your life is controlled by someone or something? Does it mean you are afraid to try new things, you just maintain the same boring rituals day in and day out?

I actually got an email that had a sub-heading in it that said "My Shoebox Life". That's what started me down this road wondering what exactly does that mean?

Looking for answers please.

It's just another manic Monday....

Not really, pretty darn quiet and slow here at work. Weather is looking good at the moment but we are to expect heat related thunderstorms possible this afternoon and evening.

Nice weekend.

Let me rephrase that. Nice drunken weekend. Weekends are good for drinking, did you know that? I know last week I said they needed to stop. Oh well, alcohol makes you do weird things.

Achy and sore Monday morning

Weekend drinking is bad for your health. I feel so sore and achy today, didn't feel so bad yesterday, since my hubby says he had to drag me home Saturday night (more or less). Well, I'm seeing some bruising where he had to help me walk, but boy am I feeling it. Very stiff and hurting.

Have I learned my lesson? No, I'm sure I haven't.

That's why we walk, or try to walk. It gives me that license to get wasted. And it's about time he took care of me, I am constantly getting him home and in the front door.

Okay, Penguins, you are down 2-0 to fuckin' detroit. I can't have that. Step it up.

Training

Yep, in training today, all day, all week. Basic Supervisory Training. It's mandatory (and yes, I have been a manager for about 20 years). Oh well, it's something different to do.

GO PENS! The series ends tonight, bye bye Crapitals.

It's a Monday again

Pouring down rain, chilly, yucky, blah. That's the day today. So the Penguins lost to the Crapitals on Saturday, not a big deal, it's only game 1 and we know how the Penguins can play. The game is on tonight at 7, be there.

Rainy Days and Mondays

It is pouring outside, looks nice from the windows, and the grass is probably loving it, but walking in it is just YUCK! I feel bad that the boys have to walk and stand at the bus stop getting super soaked, I'm sure.

So can you survive on 3 hours (actually a little less) of sleep? I can't and I am feeling it bad now. I can't stand it when I am woken up and then can't get back to sleep. I did manage to fall back asleep about 45 minutes before the alarm went off. It just sucks.

So my Penguins lost last night, but they are still up 2-1 in this playoff series. Go PENS!

Monday

Out. Out. Out. Pitt is out, didn't make it to the Final 4. Oh well, still a great season, many broken records, and just a terrific team. Way to go Pitt!

So back to....my husband is an asshole. I know you don't want to hear this, and I'm not going to tell you, I'm just pointing out the obvious. My husband is an asshole.

So today is son #2's birthday. He is 15 (aaagghhhhh). We had a good weekend together, me and the boys, they are growing up, and they are just too funny sometimes. At times, very predictable. For example, the minute I step into the house afterwork (~ 5:30pm), I won't even have my coat off and son #3 will already ask "what's for dinner?".

Have a good start to your week. I just have to tiptoe around for 4 more days and then the boys go to their dad's for 5 days and if things aren't better at home, I'm going somewhere.

Blah Monday Morning

It's Monday, it's freezing, it's windy, and it's BLAH! I'm wide awake, at work, but sort of bored, but mainly blah. We started finishing our basement yesterday so I am also a little bit up (yes, my hubby calls me a wimp, but I don't do that kind of stuff for a living like he does). The lifting of drywall, hammering over my head, that's stuff I am definitely not toned for. But that's okay, it was probably good exercise and stretching of my muscles.

And Pitt won on Saturday, and #2 and #3 lost. We will be #1 again after the polls are released today! You rock Pitt Panthers Basketball!
